Stoked Beach Party – Summer’s here and surf’s up too! So, get out your surfboards, and head down to Rockaway Beach this Saturday to ride some waves! Stoked, a youth development agency, will have trainers at the beach bright and early at 10 a.m. getting you ready to surf your way to glory. Start up with some yoga to stretch and relax, and then move on to surf lessons and surfboard demos. Shock your friends by paddling like a pro and standing with style on the board until the end of the afternoon, when you can chill out by getting some food and playing some ping-pong.

Jackson Heights Greenmarket – After all these activities, it is only natural that you would want something calm to do on Sunday. And what can be better than perusing through some fresh produce at the Jackson Heights Greenmarket at Travers Park? This is the largest and busiest greenmarket in Queens, and you get to sift through vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish and much more.
