New restaurant coming to LIC in October - Open Door

LICTalk reports that a new restaurant is coming to LIC called Open Door. Looks like it will be open in the fall (October) and serving American food. From the post:

[OpenDoor] will be located on 50th Avenue between Vernon and Jackson (next to Ihawan). I spoke with one of the owners, Nick Guitart, who will also be the chef, and he told me they will be serving “affordable, small, American plates” and that they expect to be open by October.

From what we’ve gathered, this place has been in the works for a few years now. We’ll keep an eye on it.
