The Village Voice proclaims the pljeskavica at Bosna Express in Ridgewood as the biggest burger in NYC, at least as far as its diameter goes. A pljeskavica is a Bosnian specialty, a large yet thin meat patty made with beef and veal, with onions added. The Voice describes it as so:
[The pljeskavica] is flame-grilled and smeared with kaymak (a kind of clotted cream) and ajvar (a red-pepper puree), then heaped with tomatoes, lettuce, and fresh onions. The pljeskavica is deposited on a homemade bun called a lepinja.
Lepinja is also used when eating cevapi.
They cut it in to four pieces, which is enough for 2-4 people.
