Last weekend, Flushing Town Hall held an opening reception of its exhibition celebrating the historic building’s 150 years. The Hall’s cornerstone was laid on June 7, 1862, and along withit was a time capsule, filled with coins, business cards, a copy of the New York Times, and other items from that era.

We stopped by and checked out all the things that had been buried in that time capsule, and it was fascinating. Here are some photos of some of them. Click on the photos to enlarge.
