The list of vendors at this month’s Queens County Market were published and we are here to share them with you! There will be 10 vendors total, including a table from Sac’s Place, the host for this month’s market. The list of foods to expect is mouthwatering, from cake pops to ice cream, kimchi to chicken curry. Plus, Sac’s has a full bar where you can get a glass of beer, wine, or a cocktail. Should be a great afternoon!

The Queens High Line faces opposition from the Woodhaven Residents’ Block Association

On September 29, a forum was held by the Woodhaven Residents’ Block Association regarding the Queens High Line. Two options were presented – turn the abandoned rail line into a park, or restart it as a train line. Both options were not acceptable to the Association, with privacy and noise issues being first in their minds. The WRBA does concur that that condition of the line is “deplorable” and would like the City to clean it up.

Halloween party food is fabulous in Queens

We’ve also put together a little guide to the best neighborhoods in which to go trick-or-treating here in the borough – homes, not stores. Neighborhoods include Sunnyside Gardens, Kew Gardens, Middle Village, and East Flushing among others. Old fashioned fun for the little ones!

Astoria, Queens is an incredible and underrated city to live in 

Buzzfeed put together a list of “incredible and underrated cities to live in” and Astoria made the cut. Though we wonder if they are mixing up Astoria with Queens in general. Here’s the blurb:
