Over on Politicker, they’ve shared news about an upcoming talent show fundraiser for Queens College that may include some local politicians in the mix. A flyer was distributed with this request:

“We are seeking elected officials who can sing, act, dance, do comedy and are willing to share their talents in a musical comedy revue which celebrates our wonderful borough.”

The show will be called “Legislative Acts,” which will “feature parodies of famous Broadway shows, TV sitcoms, movies as well as original material.”

The organizers are eager to have people participate, and are willing to find a role in a group skit for someone who might not think they have any talent. No audition is required.

Politicker also stated (thanks to a source), “two of the borough’s most musical officials, Democratic Congressman Joe Crowley and GOP Councilman Dan Halloran, both seemed likely to attend.”

We loved the video of Dan Halloran on stage – head to minute 13 to hear him sing. He’s rocking out with Republican band Radar. It took place last month at the Terrace on the Park, the same place were were earlier this week for the LIC Partnership Trade Show.

The show is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2013.
