In the past few months there’s been a lot of sports talk – in baseball, there’s the R.A. Dickey Cy Young Award win (go Mets!) and the huge salary for third baseman David Wright; we also learned that the US Tennis Center may expand, which would give more to tennis fans; the NYC Marathon didn’t run this year because of the hurricane (we normally love watching it from the vantage point of Tournesol in LIC); and then there’s all the talk about the new sports arena in Brooklyn, home to the Brooklyn Nets.

Major League Soccer really wants to build a new stadium in Queens, and they love Flushing Meadows. We know they’ve polled local folks, but we’d like to know what you think – do you welcome the new soccer stadium to Queens? Would you go there see a game? How would you like to see MLS give back to the community? Let us know in the comments or via twitter at @queensnycity.
