Chai Mookie Queens County Market

The folks from Chai Mookie

We’re excited to learn who will be present at this month’s Queens County Market, which will also be a holiday market! This month they’ll be at Quaint in Sunnyside (46-10 Skillman – GMAP), which is also home to a fabulous Monday night $18 all you can eat mussels and frites meal year-round. Here is the list of vendors:

Carib Delights. They make cheese spreads made with sharp cheddar, herbs, spices, and vegetables. Truly delicious.

Chai Mookie. They are home to healthy and delicious teas made with freshly ground spices.

The Chocolate Swirl. They make delicious cake pops, brownies, and mini-cupcakes, among other things.

Gustavo’s Salsa. If you are looking for a flavorful, delicious chipotle salsa, this is the place to be. It’s wonderful stuff.

Keenwa Krunch. Tasty snacks – sweet and savory – made from quinoa! This is a gluten-free product.

Malu. This excellent ice cream shop will be at the market with seasonal flavors like Candy Cane Ice Cream and Eggnog Chip Ice Cream.

Mel’s Melting Pot. This company does their work at The Entrepreneur Space in LIC, and produces delicious fruit ketchups.

Trini Treats. Sweet treats inspired by the tastes from Trinidad & Tobago like fudge and tamarind candy.

Queens Harvest Food Coop’s Buying Club. This will be their first time at the market. They are the precursor to the borough’s first coop. They’ll have fresh organic winter vegetables, farmstead cheeses, hearth breads, local honey and more.

Sabba’s Spicery. They make spice blends from organic ingredients, which go well on fish, poultry, meats, and vegetables. The Southwest spice mix is particularly good.

Veda’s Cakes & Catering. Elmhurst-based Veda Sukhu makes wonderful Guyanese food, including egpplant curry with roti, here famous chicken curry, and spiced banana cake.

The market is on Saturday, December 15, and will go from noon to 4pm. We’ll see you there!
