Food at the Ganesh Temple in Flushing

We were perusing some Queens videos this past weekend and we stumbled over these gems again – Anthony Bourdain’s 2009 visit to Flushing’s Chinatown and the Ganesh Temple. They remain as awesome as they were when we first viewed them a few years ago. Those cumin lamb burgers are out of this world. So are the noodles. He remarks that the head cheese and pig’s foot are reminiscent of French cooking.

The Golden Mall remains one of the real food treasures of Flushing, and frankly – all of NYC.

Here’s his trip to the Ganesh Temple, a little further out into Flushing. This is the home to delicious – gigantic – dosas. And that greenish colored coconut chutney is fantastic stuff.

Happy 2013 – we hope you find, discover, or rediscover all the delicious food that Queens has to offer. Our mouths sure are watering thinking about it. And remember, “anything fried is always good.”
