Savory Foods, a new European bakery, arrives in LIC

A new bakery/patisserie/cafe has opened up on 36th Avenue in Astoria – Savory Foods. They sell mostly European pastries, like eclairs, danish, and napoleons, among other things. They contacted us the other day and sent over some photos of their tempting baked goods:

French pastries like napoleons, pain au chocolat, almond croissant, and eclair, as well as the very American brownie

Additional pastries, like cinnamon raisin rolls, and apple tarts

They are situated in a part of town that could really use a bakery. The location is not far from the Museum of the Moving Image and the UA Kaufman 14 movie theater. Their hours are Mon-Fri 6:30am-8pm and Sat-Sun 7:30am-9pm. We look forward to checking them out!
