DNAinfo reminds us that this weekend is Pork Fest at the Bohemian Hall Beer Garden (GMAP). Bohemian has been doing it for the past 20 years and it’s so popular that manager Larry Spacek says, “Many people come from far away just for this.” The cuisine, of course, will be Czech and Slovak, and they’ll be offering tasty treats like pork and barley soup, pork goulash, head cheese prepared with pickled onions and vinegar, breaded and friend pork cutlets, white and blood sausages, roast pork, and sauerkraut. Can you say cold weather comfort food?

There will also be live rock music on Friday night – an ABBA revival band and Ewa Farina, starting at 8pm. A traditional folk polka ensemble, Pajtasi, will perform on Saturday.
