Finalists in last season’s America’s Got Talent, the Lightwire Theater is poised to become a breakout phenomenon with its dazzling electroluminescent puppetry, poignant choreography and creative use of music ranging from classical to jazz to pop. On February 10 at Queens Theatre, the troupe joins Corbian Visual Arts and Dance to jolt new life into Hans Christian Anderson’s The Ugly Duckling. This classic story of an ugly duckling who exemplifies resilience and heroism along the way to becoming a beautiful swan becomes an unforgettable theatrical experience with cutting edge technology, moving sculpture and funky dance.
