This moving, yet contemplative video was taken on Friday, January 18 (two weeks ago, which  makes that date actually two and a half months after Sandy, not three), and features some of the places and properties that are still wrecked by Hurricane Sandy. It’s still going to take time and work to get these peninsula communities back up and running. And it’s helpful to some to be reminded of this.

The scenes of the orange sky are pretty gorgeous, too, and quite a contrast to the bludgeoned homes nearby.

The music is “Op. 5, Étude No. 19” by Tom Fahy.
