We recently heard from the folks at the NYCEDC about their New York’s Next Top Makers competition – this is “a competition to promote innovation in New York City;” we mentioned the competition a little while back. Now it’s time to whittle down the entries and the NYCEDC has decided to put it up to a vote – by you! Voting will help determine which entrepreneurs/inventors/makers are selected to receive studio space and mentorship from companies like Adafruit Industries, Shapeways and Honeybee Robotics.

More on the voting:

The public vote will account for one of the six finalists, with the other five being chosen by a panel of judges.  The online vote will conclude on March 27, and the six finalists will then spend the next five months working in studio space provided by NYDesigns, receiving technical support, materials, access to equipment and mentorship.  Voting will take place at http://www.NextTopMakers.com.

So head on over and cast your vote!
