Jamaica Gets Its First 7-Eleven

7-Eleven, purveyor of slurpees and a bewildering number of hot dogs, has opened its first location in Jamaica. The store is right by hotels and fast food joints, as well as Rockaway Boulevard and the Belt Parkway, DNAinfo reported. The location is 2,356 square feet and could be the first of many in the area. A company spokeswoman told DNainfo that it is looking to expand. There are currently 41 7-Elevens in Queens.

  • This is something to be be proud of, the first 7-Eleven in Jamaica, a store with godly bright lights and the awful dried out hot dogs rolling around in some glass carousel. Originally from Pittsburgh we had this kind of crap all over the place. Great, so New York City is starting to look like every other city with all of these awful chains, like TGIF, Applebee’s and Olive Garden. Give me a overpriced bodega any day. Now that is New York.
