Forest Hills Gastropub Opens With Burgers, Beer, Deep-Fried Snickers

Station House

Forest Hills Station House recently opened at 106-11 71st Avenue near the Long Island Rail Road station in Forest Hills. The gastropub offers up a few dozen beer choices and entrees that include empanadas stuffed with braised short rib, wings, fried chicken livers and many types of burgers. For dessert, try some deep-fried Snickers with a bacon-bourbon glaze. More photos and the complete menu over at GothamistGMAP

  • This is one of the best new places in Forest Hills. It is nicer and has better food than any of the extsting bar/restaurants in the neighborhood.
And in addition to Station House, two other bar/restaurants have opened recently in FH–the Flying Pig and Banter. These new places are also great additions to the neighborhood.
It’s been amazing to see all the new places that have opened in FH in the last 6 months. After several years of minimal activity, the retail/bar/restaurant scene in FH has really picked up lately. In addition to the new places mentioned above, in the last 6 months FH has also gotten 2 new self-serve frozen yogurt shops (Red Mango and Vanilla Sky) and a new Chipotle, the first neighborhood location for Chipotle in Queens.
