Expect just about everything but automobiles at the We Heart Astoria Food Fest on August 4th. The entire stretch of Shore Boulevard will be designated a Temporary Pedestrian Street for six hours as participants enjoy great food, live music, ping pong and even pet events. Participating restaurants include Bare Burger, The Astor Room, The Thirsty Koala, The Chocolate Swirl and Victory Sweet Shop Cafe. The live music will start around 1 PM and culminate with the ever-popular Ukulele Social. Sponsored by the Astoria Park Alliance and We Heart Astoria, the celebration kicks off the Fifth Annual Astoria Park Shore Fest 2013, which includes Build it Green!NYC Day on August 11th and Big River Jam on August 18th.
