The Long Island City rental building 46-09 11th Street is getting ready for prime time. The six-story development will hold 59 units, 20 percent of which will be affordable. According to the developer, the building will feature a fitness center, garage, storage units, bike storage and a roof deck. Over the weekend LIC Spot noted that the former building here, a two-story warehouse, sold to the current developer in the $4.6 to $4.7 million range. The building was promptly demolished and this new one rose in its place. It should be ready for renting by the end of this year. Update: we hear from a commenter and the vice president of MNS that the building won’t be ready for occupancy until March/April of 2014.
