Both Crain’s and DNAinfo report that the Metropolitan Transportation Authority is expected to approve a hotel development project near the Jamaica Long Island Rail Road station. The MTA owns the land, located right across from the AirTrain Station at 93-43 Sutphin Boulevard, and plans to sell the entire parcel to Able Management Group for $4.5 million. Able will build a 210-room, 24-story hotel to the tune of $35,000,000. The hotel will also include a restaurant and ground-floor retail. The MTA’s Finance Committee voted in favor of the hotel on Monday and the full board is expected to approve the project today.
