34-46 Vernon Boulevard-RENDERING

Spotted: an official rendering of the mega-build at 34-46 Vernon Boulevard over at the website of Raymond Chan Architect. (That’s the same guy who’s designing this six-story LIC build.) The website sheds just a little more light on the development: “A +400,000 S.F. 23-story residential development on an 86,000 S.F. Lot fronting East River and with direct view of Manhattan skyline. This project requires a zoning change from R5 to R7, and creation of landscaped public walkway along a riverfront promenade for future connection to an existing nearby city park.” Very interesting! The same rendering’s up on the construction fence, along with a recent DOB permit for site excavation work. Details on the number of apartment units and the construction timeline are still murky. We’re still accepting tips on the matter at hand, and we’ll let you know when more details come through…
