Eight-Story Build Promises to Beat Hallets Point Development to the Punch

Construction is moving at the stalled development site 11-05 30th Road near Vernon Boulevard, on the western edge of the massive Hallets Point project. The DOB just issued new building permits for an eight-story, 76-unit build and work has started on the building foundation. According to the engineering firm on the project, it’ll be called “River East.” The lot last traded hands in 2006 for $5,200,000 to its current owner, 30 Vernon LLC. A tipster tells us: “Neighborhood word is that same developer bought the property across the street, so this industrial pocket within the original Hallets Cove will be transforming before the super developments slated to come down the pike.” That property, a 25,870-square-foot warehouse, sold this April for $8,200,000. According to public records, the buyer is behind the LLC of “Eastone 26 Ave.”
