The interior features woodwork and exposed beams, though the listing says that the bathrooms and kitchens will need upgrading. (The bathrooms don’t look all that bad, but there aren’t any photos of the kitchen — possibly a bad sign.) There’s lots of potential here, and we’re liking the price tag of $359,000.

  1. there’s visible water damage in the cellar. the masonry retaining wall in the front is falling apart. the room they call a bedroom in the basement is NOT legal as it has no windows. i’m willing to bet that the 4-piece bath down there is illegal, too. in fact the listing alludes to “kitchenS” plural meaning there’s probably an illegal one of those down there as well. the cellar (NOT BASEMENT) has “ILLEGAL OCCUPANT” written all over it and CANNOT be legally converted.

    anyways, in addition to the kitchen and bath, i’m willing to bet there’s at least 10-15 grand of waterproofing, pointing, and rebuilding work necessary. source: i work in the industry.
