arris-lofts-sale

The 2,120-square-foot three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment at Arris Lofts just sold. The condo first hit the market last summer for $1,500,000 then decreased to $1,439,000. The apartment sold for $1,340,000 after multiple offers, according to Warren Lewis Sotheby’s broker Michael Kawochka. It’s a corner unit with south and west exposures, an open floor-plan kitchen and living room, and a sizable walk-in closet in the master bedroom. Here’s the old listing via Streeteasy. It also looks as if this is the priciest sale for the converted warehouse building. Coming in second is this 1,530-square-foot two bed/two bath, listed for $1,395,000 and sold for $1,285,000.

  1. Not surprised about the price chop. If the area and price numbers are accurate, that’s $632 per sq. ft., which is cheap for Hunter’s Point.

Most places closer to the river seem to be selling for around $1000 per sq. ft.. Arris has always had very expensive listings since it opened, and I’m glad to see the correction. The building’s in a horrible immediate location and should not sell for as much as places near Gantry or Vernon.
