Wow, I really had to look twice at that screen name — I thought for a minute that the real CHP had taken leave of her senses! How relieved I was to see it was merely the decoy. And since when have any of the people at FCR tried to negotiate anything with anyone?
That’s really too bad about the Atlantic Antic, too — I’ve been going to that since 1982 (apart from the years I wasn’t living in NY). Guess I’ll be skipping it this year unless things change.
Very cogent article by Errol Louis. It’s interesting to hear the opinion of an experienced activist. I have long felt that the contest strategies favored by DDDB and others are poor choices for a force as rich and powerful as Ratner. Most people realize that a brick wall won’t give no matter how many times you bash your head against it.
