LIC-Arts-Bus

On Saturday, May 10th, a new free shuttle bus connecting LIC arts destinations will depart from Socrates Sculpture Park at noon. The new service, called the LIC Art Bus, will provide a free transportation alternative for both local residents and Queens visitors between Socrates Sculpture Park, The Noguchi Museum, SculptureCenter and MoMA PS1. The LIC Art Bus will run both Saturday and Sunday afternoons for nineteen consecutive weekends from May 10th through September 14th, between noon and 6 pm. The bus will depart from Socrates at 12:00, 12:45, 1:30, 2:30, 3:15, 4:00, and 5:00, then head to The Noguchi Museum, SculptureCenter, and finally MoMA PS1 before returning to Socrates. Check out a full bus schedule, which will have up-to-the-minute updates, right here.

The arrival of the LIC Art Bus also comes right after the good news that the MTA will launch a trial program for increased service on the Q103 bus line, which connects Long Island City and Astoria along Vernon Boulevard. The MTA’s new Q103 bus program includes weekend service beginning this June.
