Renderings were recently submitted for the 50-story tower at 43-25 Hunter Street. The images, first put up by NY YIMBY show a tall glassy tower and a smaller 14-story building adjacent to it. The project received partial approval on Friday, according to The Court Square Blog.
When completed, the building will have 974 apartments — 20 percent set aside as affordable — and 19,400 square feet of ground-floor retail space. According to NY YIMBY, the developer, Rockrose, plans to include a billiard room, basketball courts and a yoga studio. The roof deck will be on a 38th floor setback.
The building will be 509 feet tall, making it one of the tallest in all of Queens. Another Court Square tower, at 42-12 28th Street, which is being developed by Heatherwood Communities, will be 646 feet tall when completed. Click through to the jump to see more renderings.
