looking for help/advice with regard to a Home Improvement Nightmare in Whitestone Queens NYC. Been going to the DCA Departmnent of Consumer affairs since late 2004. We just recently recieved our decision from the ALJ Judge. Here lies the question/s The Judge heard testimony that the Contractor used Unlicensed Sub Contractors/and Contractor kept no records(documents, reciepts, bills etc) No discipline toward the contractor, states in the decision it was to late to do anything about it???? I have been doing some research work on the website OATH, checking other/old cases..The Judge tells us throughout the hearings that the DCA Inspector is out on Indefinete Sick Leave,we asked several hearings, the answer than changed to the Inspector retired, than the Judge told my wife..even if the inspector were available we would’nt of wanted him…our case research has revealed to us that there were Inspectors available, in fact one case we found, the same Judge was actually presiding over????WE have been left with a ton of question..moostly WHY? if you have advice or can recommend a great Attorney please contact me at boomop282@aol.com
