As a follow up to the apartment washer/dryer post, I have a question. How difficult is it to install a hook up for a washer and dryer in a brownstone apartment? I have been in the same place for 4 years and the lack of laundry facilities is the only ammenity I feel compelled to move for. Would a landlord be open to a situation where I paid to install the hook up? Or is an upstairs washer/dryer problematic in a brownstone in general? The biggest setback I can imagine is no water drain….
