Yesterday Grub Street wrote that the East Village’s Bourgeois Pig is expanding to Carroll Gardens, moving into the old Calpurnia Wine Bar space. What to expect? As Grub Street says, “A brief, daily-changing menu with rotating offerings that might include a lobster bisque or a dark-chocolate-bacon-beer fondue. While there will be a serious wine program, the main focus is cocktails.” The space will be decked out with marble floors, flocked wallpaper and outdoor seating. It should open in about three months. Excited?

  1. This was my fvorite wine bar when it was small and cute. Now that it’s big and in the city I don’t go. Now just get the space right and I can’t wait on visiting!
