Bareburger, home to organic, grass-fed, and natural meats; where you can get not only a beef burger but game meats like elk and bison; a place where most anyone can enjoy a meal, is celebrating their first anniversary this year! We are pleased they have been so successful in that space – not everyone has (a number of restaurants after Anna’s Corner closed did not last more than six months – Psitopolio Ta Vlahika and Athens Tavern). It’s great to see a corner like this thriving so well.

They are celebrating on Thursday, September 20th, and you’re invited to enjoy discounted food and drink all day in their second Astoria location. They’ll have $3 sliders (beef, turkey, veggie); 16oz beer for $4 and 25oz for $5. They’ll also have $6 pitchers of Lionshead Lager.

Bareburger started out as a single location burger joint, with the twist of serving organic meats and game meats, as well as classic fries and shakes (made from organic ingredients). They had originally taken over the Thessaloniki Bakery on the corner of 31st Ave and 34th Street, which was always closed (and seemed mysterious because of it). Then they expanded to the storefront next door, they did so well.

Thanks to their great business model, they’ve expanded outward to Manhattan and Brooklyn, and then back to Astoria for a second location, and further out into Queens (Forest Hills and Bayside). They have a total of 10 locations now. Astorians are proud that such a successful business starte out right here in Astoria.

So, Bareburger fans far and wide around the city – come to Astoria and help Bareburger celebrate their first anniversary!
