Thanks to a reader for snapping this photo of Doughnut Plant this morning, which opened today at 245 Flatbush Avenue. This is the Lower East Side doughnut maker’s first Brooklyn outpost.

There is seating inside and the sign on the corner says today’s doughnut flavors include marzipan, citron, gingerbread and panettone. Yum. We might have to check this out in person.

Anyone been in yet?

  1. I stopped by last night right before closing and think I found a new favorite sweets spot. I ordered the peanut butter and jelly doughnut (it may sound weird, but tastes amazing). Although the food here is pricey (no doughnut seems to be under $3 whereas you can get a full doughnut elsewhere for under $1), I’ll gladly return.

  2. My pregnant wife is on top of these things.. She just sent me a photo with a large bag of donuts. I am adding a mile on to my run tonight.

  3. And the fat angels sang!

This will probably be amazing here (thankfully I’m just far enough to not go there daily). Between kids, families, Barclays, and everyone else, this should be a huge hit. They really got a special location and I’m happy its not a cell store, bank, or real estate office.

    • While Yummy Taco will always be near and dear to my heart …. I’m looking forward to stopping by here soon. Should be a great spot!

      • There’s now a Yummy Taco near me on Washington (my guess is that its the one that moved from Flatbush), so I’m still fed. This place is great, too, and I look forward to shopping there.
