This weekend marks the beginning of fall – the Fall Equinox falls on Saturday – and that also brings us the Fall Mamas Expo, produced by Queens Mamas. The event is at the Museum of the Moving Image, and the Expo is free with museum admission. This two-day event – Saturday and Sunday – goes from 10am-4pm each day, and is open to all parents and children ages Preschool to Tween.

Attendees will get “insider access to some of the best local services, specialists and products currently available for families in Queens and throughout New York City” as well as:

  • Kid Friendly Films in the Museums Screening Rooms
  • Shopping and discounts from the hottest retail companies in NYC and beyond
  • The opportunity to speak one-on-one to representatives from top vendors and local businesses
  • All day access to The Museum of the Moving Image

We love that the Expo is at MOMI, one of the real gems of Astoria and one of the most fun and engaging museums in NYC. If you haven’t caught a film there, we highly recommend it. Over and over, film industry experts remark how much they love the new theater. The special previews (e.g. Men In Black 3) are also great events, because they often have someone who worked on the film there to do a talk afterwards and give exclusive insight into the film. The exhibits are also excellent, with some of them being interactive. Plus, there’s great food to eat nearby.

Saturday and Sunday, 9/22-23, 10am-4pm, Museum of the Moving Image, Astoria (GMAP)
