Looks like nostalgia for the Brooklyn of Old is catching on…there is a new beer and specialty food market called Breuklyn Bier Merchants coming to 186 Grand, at Bedford. Considering this place is surrounded by quite a few smaller developments nearby, it should get some good foot traffic. GMAP

They’ve been working on this for awhile – from what I hear, they have spent a lot of money on the place. Don’t know if the nearby developments help – they’re pretty small, indeed – but being part of Grand Street’s restaurant row certainly should (this is pretty much the western end).
And so long as we’re all editors here, the address is 190 Grand (says so right on the building). 186 is the new building going up between here and Iona.

In the hallowed spirit of long threads consisting of nothing more than correcting typos and other trivia in blog posts, I am repeating the fact that 186 Grand is not near Lorimer.
I will add some breaking news from the Lorimer/Union block though – it appears that the Porno Store is moving. They are having a Moving Sale – although it may just be a Lost in Translation “Movie Sale” Not totally clear yet.
