Come join the preservation conversation.

On March 3, preservation nonprofit Historic Districts Council will hold their annual conference, which is participant-driven. Instead of the traditional conference structure, which features an audience listening to lectures from a series of professionals, here your voice is integral to the discussions.

The topics are decided the morning of the conference. People can sign up to lead sessions and, after a keynote address, the audience will vote for 12 possible sessions, which will then form the schedule for the day. Attendees are encouraged to move from room to room to get the most from the experience.

During your downtime, you can wander around the Preservation Fair, where you can learn about preservation campaigns in specific neighborhoods.

The preservation conference will take place at the New York Law School from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Brownstoner is a media sponsor of the event. For more information, click here.
