The Astoria Music Society mixes the golden oldies with fresh new music, performing everything from Mozart to Beethoven to premiering American compositions. Now celebrating its tenth concert season, the group, which includes the Astoria Symphony Orchestra, the Astoria Symphonic Choir and the Lost Dog New Music Ensemble, will fill St. Joseph RC Church today, December 16, with Beethoven’s “Consecration of the House,” Bizet’s “LArlesienne Suite No. 2” and Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite.” The event, Holiday Jubilee! X, will include a traditional holiday sing-along.
