Earlier this week Community Board 2 approved a full liquor license for 343 Gold Street, the commercial space in Avalon Fort Greene, where the owners of Boerum Hill’s Building on Bond will open a new restaurant. CB2 District Manager Rob Perris says the following about the plans: “The proprietors of Building on Bond propose a restaurant with 12 tables, 54 chairs and ten bar stools indoors, and another seven tables and 28 chairs outside, on Myrtle Avenue, as weather permits. The applicant states the outside seating will be inside of the property line and will not require a sidewalk café license. The sample menu provided to the committee included a half-dozen sandwiches, a dozen entrees and three entrée salads.” CB2 separately passed a wine license for the Oro condo’s commercial space, which is also on Gold Street. An establishment called the “Gold Street Eatery” has already put up signage, as pictured on the jump, but we don’t have any more info about the business.
