Deep throat was right. Today the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation officially approved the selection of a Toll Brothers-Starwood joint venture to development the combination hotel/apartment complex at Pier 1 in the park. The winning design by Rogers Marvel, shown above and on the jump, incorporates a 10-story structure with both hotel and residential as well as a five-story building with just residential. All in all, reports Curbed, we’re looking at 200 hotel rooms and 159 apartments for a total of 550,000 square feet. In addition, says the press release, there’s “nearly 16,000 square feet of restaurant space, 16,000 square feet of banquet and meeting space, 2,000 square feet of retail space, a 6,000-square-foot spa and fitness center and 300 parking spaces.” They’re shooting for LEED Silver certification on the whole shebang.
