‘Indigenous’ Opening at City Reliquary
The City Reliquary is holding an opening for its new group show called “Indigenous” at its Williamsburg headquarters. The exhibition commemorates the many places that have come and gone, all of which have contributed to a colorful New York City upbringing; the installation includes works on paper, film, literature and assorted ephemera, providing a unique perspective which will complement the already vast collection currently housed in the Reliquary. Contributing artists include Dixie Appel, Laila Caron and Ming Lin, among others. Opening party, July 1st, 7-10 p.m., 370 Metropolitan Avenue.

Navy Brig, 470 Vanderbilt Hearings at Borough Hall
The next stop on the ULURP process for the Navy Brig and 470 Vanderbilt Avenue developments is Brooklyn Borough Hall where Marty Markowitz will considering the zoning variances required to make each project a reality. Tuesday, June 30, 4 p.m., Brooklyn Borough Hall.

Midnight Ride in Prospect Park
All bike riders are invited to gather at the base of the arch in Grand Army Plaza for a group midnight ride around Prospect Park followed by drinks at Franklin Park. Monday, June 29, 11:45 p.m., Grand Army Plaza.

Walk/Run for Michael Jackson
A bunch of MJ fans are getting together tomorrow to run or walk a loop around Prospect Park to celebrate his music. Glittery costumes and/or wigs and makeup are encouraged, boomboxes playing the greatest hits will be carried, and at the end there will be a mass Thriller dance. Tuesday, June 30, 7:30 p.m., PPW and 9th Street entrance.

Columbia Waterfront Neighborhood Association Meeting
The Columbia Waterfront Neighborhood Association will be holding its quarterly committee meeting at Jalopy on Wednesday. Items on the agenda include the salt pile on ASI’s piers, a presentation by the EDC on plans for the Atlantic Basin and details on Senator Squadron’s vision for Brooklyn Bridge Park.Wednesday, July 1, 7 p.m. Jalopy. 315 Columbia Street.

Council Meeting for Coney Island Rezoning
A meeting of the City Council’s Zoning and Franchises Committee will be held to discuss the Coney Island Rezoning plan. Wednesday, July 1, 10 a.m. Council Chambers – City Hall.
